Development of a network for students living in Thunder Bay without parents/support in boarding homes

International students and students from northern communities come with unique circumstances and challenges and would benefit greatly from a strong, community-involved support program. Leadership Thunder Bay is proud to partner and deliver the concept of Lakehead Public Schools International (LPSI) sustainable wraparound service to assist the students to build constructive relationships with various community partners and broaden exposure to local institutions, resources, organizations and other leaders that are available and continue to support incoming students for future years through recreation, community involvement, culture, volunteer opportunities and mentoring.

Through this Community Action Project, Lakehead Public Schools International and Leadership Thunder Bay believe students that develop genuine relationships within their community not only increase their potential for success in school, but also inspire them to actively be a part of the community.
